Thank Goatness its Friday

10 Apr

I swear the weeks at work off the farm get longer and longer.  I don’t know what I’d do if I couldn’t come home to such wonderful friends.  It was especially fun tonight because it was the new kids’ first time out in pasture.

I did see (what I think is) a northern flicker.  It’s my first decent capture. Maybe someday I’ll get a good shot. Northern Flicker I think Harley might be regretting the whole triplet thing.  They are exhausting her. She’s hanging in there though! Harley Triplets_0216ew It’s something of a challenge to feed three kids with only two teats. Harley Triplets_0208ew Evening on the farm is my favorite time.  The sunsets are beautiful.  The goats are content in pasture.  It makes life seem perfect. Sunset_0344ew Even though we’ve had some rain, the pasture was dry to walk in this evening.  We have more rain chances this week.  We can certainly use it. Sharing with Camera Critters, Saturday’s Critters, and Bird d’Pot.

As long as it isn’t always the same one that gets left out, it’s all good!

The farm work is good; it’s the off-farm job that leaves me so frustrated.

You’re right, that was a Northern Flicker! Cool! We are getting rain tomorrow, I think it’s coming down from your way. Roads are WAYYY too dusty now.

    • Teresa April 11, 2015 at 9:22 pm #

Glad to know I got it right! We have a chance for more rain tomorrow night, and that would be good for pasture.

She’s doing a great job of raising them, but they are exhausting. Haley agrees.
