In My Own Little Corner

“In my own little corner, I can be whatever I want to be.
I’m a…milkmaid.”

Muffin Jane Osboer

I just saw on the news today that my great state of Iowa ranks 51st in the nation for women starting their own businesses.  I’m not going to let that bit of information scare me from my dreams.

Sharing with Song-ography.  This week’s song is In My Own Little Corner (from Cinderella) by Rogers and Hammerstein.

Stick to it. If you are passionate about what you are doing, it is worth even more than a statistic.

Never let anyone get in the way of your dreams, especially STATISTICS! Bah humbug to them! 🙂 Thanks for joining in at Song-ography.

I am not a fan of statistics, but it might explain why it seems so hard to do something that ought to be easy.

51st? In a nation of 50 states? I think someone’s math is off. Go ahead and prove them wrong–you’ve got this!

    • Teresa March 19, 2015 at 7:52 am #

I believe Washington DC makes 51.

Aha! DC isn’t always included in stats of the nation.
