So it’s time for The Good. The Random. The Fun, but I’m saving the random for my Song-ography photo because it’s totally random and has nothing to do with the farm.
It’s so good to see the sun and enjoy the warmth. I’ve done chores the last two days without a jacket. It’s beautiful!
The cats have all been out enjoying the weather. Jules was having fun tightrope walking on the red gate. She’s seriously not graceful.
Finally, the Song-ography song this week is Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin. When I was sixteen or seventeen, my family tore down an old abandoned farmhouse.
When we finished, this is what was left.
I’m also sharing with Mosaic Monday and Ruby Tuesday.
Can feel the warmth from here! The stairs are really cool!
Thanks, Tamar. There wasn’t a nail in those stairs. It was just the house surrounding them that kept them in place.
Your first shot is lovely, we can feel the sun getting stronger each day here too. Of course I love the cat photos and the stairs to nowhere is hilarious! Thanks for sharing them with us.
Thanks for stopping by, Linda.
I like your ‘stairway to heaven’, a little short but a good start! You must have had to dig for this photo, let alone remember it was taken. 🙂
It is amusing how I have trouble coming up with a name for one of our 6 grandchildren sometimes and yet you remember names for all the goats and now cats I see.
Thank you for linking to Mosaic Monday.
Well, I do sometimes have to go through a few names before I get the right one, but they are family. I know I drove out to take the picture by myself, and I was still in high school. That means I had to be 16 or 17. No way I could figure it out any closer.
The cat photos are so good;as the feeling of our warm day. Suppose to get nicer! Stairway to Heaven was/is a good song; as well as the picture! That is really an unusual sight, but really awesome. Like the steps! 🙂
I had to go take that picture of the stairs, and that was way back before I took many pictures (the days of film).
Not needing a jacket is a wonderful feeling. Our afternoons are warming up nicely.
It is great!
Great photos, lovely scenery, sweet kitties and that staircase picture is one of a kind. Glad you took a photo of it.
Thanks. it was certainly “cool” to a teenager to see that staircase with nothing holding it there.
I love the shot of the stairs leading to nowhere.
Thanks, Margaret.
My cats are happy with sunshine too ! Hopefully winter is finished by now and spring will move in ! I am so fed up of this cold and rainy weather, no snow !
Glad you’re getting some better weather. Seems to have been a rough winter for a lot of people.
Wonderful! I love the light in the first, a fun stairway to heaven at last!
Thanks, Leovi!
Love the cute kitties! And neat shot of the stairs.. You very own stairway to heaven! Have a happy day!
Well, it’s long gone now, but it was fun to see.
Love those cat shots – and the stairway made me smile.
Cheers – Stewart M – Melbourne
Thanks, Stewart.
Fantastic pictures, I really like the last one.
Thanks. 😊
I really like the top photo! And of course I like the cats too! Interesting how the stairway to nowhere survived longer than the rest of the building.
It was a beautiful and warm sunshine! We’re all ready for spring.
I am interested on the first photo because of critical issues now a day if you considered as of ecological changes,
I do practice no-till farming, crop rotation, and contour farming. In addition, I have tiled and use waterways and buffer strips to protect our water supply.
I love seeing the remains of the staircase! Such a story in your image.
I’ve used that photo to illustrate poems. It does just beg a story to be told.
I really love that first shot. Love the sunburst it’s creating!
Thanks. It was beautiful out there! Hope you’re getting more spring-like weather now.
We are finally! 🙂
Great photos, Teresa! The cats are beautiful. And that staircase!! WOW! No nails, you say? Really?? Amazing!! Any idea when that house would have been built? Thanks for sharing it!
I’m guessing it was built in the late 1800s or early 1900s. I can’t remember if it had square or round nails now.
Haha! Your stairway totally gives me a good chuckle! What a great find, and a creative interpretation of the lyrics to “Stairway to Heaven”. Thank you for your regular participation in Song-ography. It is truly appreciated 🙂
I absolutely love the creativity of Song-ography. Thanks for hosting each week.
The stairway shot is certainly unique. Cute cats.
How odd that the one thing that still stands in the staircase
