As I was getting ready for this week’s scavenger hunt, I was busily preparing my pictures, when I realized I was using last week’s list. I totally missed a week of Scavenger Hunt Sunday due to all the kids. Well, I’m happy to say that my house is livestock free for the first time since January 8th. Yipee!!!!!! And now, on to this week’s scavenger hunt: bad habit, on the road, on the shelf, yum, and what is it.
On the Shelf: With no more critters in the kitchen, I might be able to make soap again. I still have plenty on my shelf to fill orders through the on-line market, but there are several fragrances that are getting a bit low. I need to stock up before the start of the farmer’s market season.
Yum: I also decided to actually bake from scratch. I made these yummy stuffed sandwiches. One is a honey mustard chicken and the other is Philly beef and swiss. Of course mine is made with vegetarian meatless chicken and beef. The original recipe is here (easy to adapt to real meat).
What is it: I am going to be shooting another wedding in August. I love the photography, and I’d love to do more portrait photography, so I made the giant leap and purchased a camera more suited to that purpose. It’s a D7100. I’ve only had the chance to take a couple of shots with it, but I think I’m really going to love it.
On the Road: I was walking on the road and looked back to my pasture and realized that we’re still brown. I’m grateful for the warmer weather, but I was hoping it would really make the grass turn green. Hopefully with the rain in our forecast, we’ll start to look more springlike.
Bad Habit: If you ask my family some people , they might tell you that goats are a bad habit of mine. I disagree, but I also wanted to share pictures of some of the kids that I’ve not mentioned much because of the overwhelming number of bottle kids. This adorable little lady belongs to Blaze.

There’s a link to the recipe in the post (but I used all white flour in this batch). She will keep her markings, but I’m guessing the silver color will change to a tan. That’s what her mom and aunt did.

That’s a long time having kids in the kitchen and I’m happy they’re healthy enough to go out with the rest of the group.
The new camera sounds like it will take you places. I’ve always had Canon but our daughter that has used both much prefers Nikon.
It was only two weeks with the goats (but there were a lot of them). Before that is was the kitchen chicken. I’m just thrilled everyone is back where they belong. I’ve always been a Nikon person.

I think they mean all the time and money spent on my goats is a waste. I might have taken liberties with the bad habit so I could include the picture. They’d really use words like “dumb”.
