Wine, Words and a Cat

15 Sep

I’ve decided to join Ashley for her Scavenger Hunt this weekend.  It’s been a while, and I’ve really missed it.  The items for this week’s hunt:  pumpkin drink, read a book, bake/eat something sweet, animal and artsy.

The only thing I could come up with for pumpkin drink, was the wine we made three years ago.  Wow!  I can’t believe we’ve been making wine for three years.  This is a spiced pumpkin wine that we named Cabinboy Jim.  I think aging this long has really helped the flavor.

I’m also using it for artsy and Song-ography where the song is Something Beautiful because I think it’s beautiful to see the work come to fruition.

Keeping with the theme of wine, we’ve started seven gallons of plum wine.  One kind is a dry table one, and the other is a sweet high alcohol wine.  We’ll see how they turn out.

If you are looking for a book to read this fall, I might recommend you try Consent, my first novel (available at Amazon).  You might have time to read it before my next one is available.

Finally, animal.  My sweet Snickers is sleeping quite a bit and has been begging for canned cat food.  When I checked his mouth today, it looks pretty sore.  I’m afraid the cancerous spots are bothering him again.

I’ll certainly be talking to the vets in the morning to see if there’s anything I can do for him.

I’m also sharing with Mandarin Orange Monday and Mosaic Monday.
