Goslings

25 Jun

Look what I saw when I went out to the barn this morning.

egg shell in door

That can only mean one thing.

gosling

Actually, three of the same thing.

Thankfully, they are going to go live with my sister.

We don’t need any more geese around here.

The goslings are the most adorable babies!

oh, so tiny and cute! glad they already have a good home to go to!

    • Teresa June 25, 2013 at 5:57 pm #

Me too. My sister told me she wanted some, so I wasn’t too worried about her hatching some. Glad it was three and not ten though. πŸ˜‰

      • YourSis June 25, 2013 at 6:55 pm #

        Me too!!! Lol

      • Teresa June 25, 2013 at 7:02 pm #

❀ Can't wait to watch you chasing them and trying to get them from their parents. πŸ˜‰

      • YourSis June 25, 2013 at 8:51 pm #

        Remember….fat old brain-damaged woman!!!

      • Teresa June 25, 2013 at 9:15 pm #

Really. You mean it would be wrong of me to laugh at you?

  3. Barbara F. June 25, 2013 at 5:57 pm #

What great photos. I am glad they are staying “with family”. xo

    • Teresa June 25, 2013 at 5:57 pm #

Me too. They will like being spoiled by her.

  4. mscarletti June 25, 2013 at 5:57 pm #

    Gasp! So cute!

    • Teresa June 25, 2013 at 5:58 pm #

I don’t think there’s any baby more cute than a gosling. They can even rival the kids. πŸ˜‰

  5. Mick June 25, 2013 at 5:58 pm #

Very cute – and I guess you can have too much of a good thing!

    • Teresa June 25, 2013 at 5:59 pm #

If they stayed tiny and sweet and cute, I’d keep them. I just don’t want more big geese. πŸ˜‰

  6. Judy Haughton-James June 25, 2013 at 6:26 pm #

    They are very cute!

    • Teresa June 25, 2013 at 6:53 pm #

Thanks. I think they are, too.

  7. Eileen June 25, 2013 at 6:46 pm #

AWWWW, they are so cute! I just want to hug them!

    • Teresa June 25, 2013 at 6:54 pm #

It’s tempting, but the parents hissing keeps me away. πŸ˜‰

  8. Margaret June 25, 2013 at 6:55 pm #

    Awe. How cute!!!

  9. casadeberry June 25, 2013 at 6:57 pm #

Are you calling any of them Ryan? πŸ˜€

    • Teresa June 25, 2013 at 7:02 pm #

I’ll have to suggest that to my sister. It will be a while before we know if they are male or female though.

    Oh my!! Soooo precious!

  11. S. J. Qualls June 25, 2013 at 7:17 pm #

    • Teresa June 25, 2013 at 7:27 pm #

Yeah. I knew that when I let her make the nest. πŸ™‚

  12. Alica June 25, 2013 at 7:26 pm #

    They’re cute when they’re little!

    • Teresa June 25, 2013 at 7:27 pm #

      If only they stayed little!

  13. Chai Chai June 25, 2013 at 8:55 pm #

Do geese ever get friendly or is it just the males that one has to watch out for?

    • Teresa June 25, 2013 at 9:15 pm #

Most of mine are okay except during the broody season. Then it’s the girls I really fear.

  14. Theanne aka magnoliamoonpie June 25, 2013 at 9:42 pm #

we had 4 geese years ago…more than enough πŸ™‚

    Very cute.

  17. Nancy Claeys June 26, 2013 at 6:03 am #

One of our goslings went MIA last night. Today will be spent looking for him/her.
Happy that your littles have a great home to go to. πŸ™‚

    • Teresa June 26, 2013 at 10:42 am #

Oh, I hope you find it. They are such fragile little things.

  18. Arija June 26, 2013 at 6:56 am #

I would so love them, our goose lost her gander so all the eggs are infertile and she sits for nothing.

    • Teresa June 26, 2013 at 10:43 am #

So sad. I’ve had them sit on a baseball or piece of wood after losing their eggs. They desire to hatch goslings is awfully strong.

  19. Heather L June 26, 2013 at 9:39 am #

    They’re so cute and fuzzy!

    • Teresa June 26, 2013 at 10:43 am #

      Thank you, Heather.

I’m so glad you didn’t leave this at the first 2 photos because I had no idea. They sure are cute! http://poshonabudget.com/2013/06/ww-what-is-next-the-leg-lamp.html

    • Teresa June 26, 2013 at 10:43 am #

I’d never miss a chance to show pictures of the goslings. Just have to build the suspense.

  22. Margaret June 26, 2013 at 12:10 pm #

Hi Millie they are so cute I just don’t know how you can give them away but I suppose if your sister has them, you will be able to see them but without doing the work!!

    • Teresa June 26, 2013 at 12:14 pm #

This is the second batch I’ve given away this year. They both have good homes, so that makes it easy. Otherwise, they’d just stay here and be big and mean.

  23. Gunilla BΓ€ck June 26, 2013 at 1:24 pm #

Adorable! I’m so happy you found a home for them.

    • Teresa June 26, 2013 at 2:24 pm #

Thanks. I am glad they have a good home to go to also.

  24. Pat June 26, 2013 at 6:17 pm #

    They are cute, though!
