Here it is Monday, and I don’t know what to blog about. That’s the problem with such short days. I never seem to get things done, so today will be just a couple of random pictures from the last couple of weeks.
The cornfield looks awfully desolate right now. Hopefully, we’ll have a real winter. We need the cold and snow to help break down those stiff stalks.
Otherwise it will be harder to plant using no-till methods next spring. We’ll still get it done, but it would be better all around if we had cold and snow.
I’m linking these to Mellow Yellow Monday.
You might remember I shared that my dear kitty, Snickers, has cancer. He is still doing well. He’s way more lovable and cuddly than he used to be, and he sits in the window staring out at the pastures, but he doesn’t go off hunting much anymore, and he’s dropped from 17 to 13 pounds.
I keep giving him canned food to make it easier for him to eat.
Finally, I have a picture to share for Barn Charm.
This was the full moon setting over the fields and the neighbor’s barn last month.
Snickers is a cutie, glad he is holding his own. Your photos always look like paintings, Teresa. I love the moon shot. I hope you get your snow. I bet Snickers would like a little scoop of ricotta now and then. I know some kitty cats who love it! xo
I did give him a little treat of whole goat’s milk one day, but he’s just not into eating very much now. 😦 I might have to try some ricotta.
I’m hoping for a real winter here too!
The cat photo is awesome! And I also love that full moon photo.
It would be really nice if Mother Nature could somehow get to more normal weather patterns.
poor boy, snickers. i hope you get snow just for the moisture alone. 🙂
Cancer is cruel no matter what species. 😦
That’s a beautiful photo of contemplative Snickers. I like the shot of the moon too.
Thanks. He does spend a lot of time just staring into space these days.
Beautiful shot of the setting moon!
So sorry about Snickers. This is a wonderful shot of him.
Just saw on the news this evening that places that should have been having snow haven’t had any. It was 70 here last week – way above normal.
It’s really been a horribly long stretch of dangerously bizarre weather.
Snickers is so cute. I’m glad he is doing well.
The full moon is lovely over the field.
Thanks. I do love my kitty, and I don’t know what I’ll do without him.
Snickers looks wonderfully content as he moves through this season of his life. Enjoy!
Thank you for that nice, comforting thought.
Prayers of comfort for Snickers- he is a beautiful cat. Lovely shot of him.
Thank you. He really is a wonderful guy.
Dear Snickers…he could send out his very own Christmas card with that picture! I want to scratch those ears and listen to him purr…
He would truly love the attention!
awww big hugs to snickers….i hate that….beautiful photos
Thank you. We’ve always said he was a magnificent specimen.
that moon is wild looking. great view. the cat close. fun!! ( :
Thanks. The moon was huge.
Beautiful photos, and I pray that Snicker is getting better each day.
The last photo is awesome.
Well, with cancer, he’s never going to get better, but he seems to be holding his own.
Lovely fence, field and barn. Cute Snickers!
Thanks. I barely snuck the barn in on this one. 😉
{{HUGS}} to Snickers and to you Teresa.
Love the shot of the moon over the field!
Thanks. We appreciate your good thoughts.

Thanks. I’m glad you stopped by.
What a beautiful capture of a lovely sunset!
Thanks. The moon was very bright in the sky that morning.
You got a wonderful photo of the barn with the full moon. That’s a hard shot to get! Hugs!
Thanks. It was such a big moon, I really wanted to catch it over the cornfield. Of course the barn and trees and cage make it more interesting.
The barn setting with moon is certainly a wonderful sight! And I know how hard it is to watch an animal slip from being healthy to loosing the battle with an illness. I hate when they show very little/no interest in food. They seem to be braver, more accepting of when it is their time than I am… Hugs.
Thanks. Snickers is still hanging in, but that’s a huge weight loss. I’m not sure how much longer I’ll enjoy his company in my life.
God bless sweet Snickers….beautiful photos xo
Thank you. 🙂
Love that full moon, and a wonderful shot of Snickers. It’s so hard to deal with end of life issues with a beloved pet, but you’ll always have your memories of him.
Thanks. He is quite a memorable kitty!
Your barn photo has such a dreamy quality. Have a great week!
Thanks. I live in a dreamy place. 🙂
I’m so sorry about Snickers, he’s a beauty & love the image of him… How long does he have or do you know? Wish there was something I could do, so sad…
Very beautiful moon, tree, fence & barn capture… everything fits perfectly in the shot
Thank you for joining =)
I’m so glad you host barn charm. It’s wonderful! I don’t know how much longer Snickers will be with me. I just keep offering food whenever I can and snuggling with him. 🙂
That is a beautiful picture of Snickers. Hugs and purrs to you and him as you deal with his cancer.
Thank you. 🙂
