When I came outside last night Maxine and Norma Jean were in the lane.
It looks like it was supper time.
Norma is getting quite big to be nursing. This meal went on for quite some time, and I must say that Norma Jean is a messy eater. All that white stuff on the ground below Norma Jean’s neck is slopped milk.
Then she looked at me like I was interfering with her meal.
Remember she’s an all black calf.
I’m thinking she might seriously need a bath after this meal.
I’ve never seen a calf so covered in milk when they nurse. Usually they just get a cute little milk mustache.

You’re right…she’s messy! She needs to learn some table manners! 🙂
You’d think she was born in a barn!
🙂
I think she has my messy eaters all beat! I laughed so hard! Cute though!
She’s got to have a whole pint smeared on her face. 🙂
What a great “Got milk?” commercial! Good campaign for raw milk, too 😉 xo
I thought about putting that on one of the pictures! Her’s isn’t very neat though.
that is just a mess! wow, she’s grown!
Maxine is a great mom. Her calves have an incredible rate of gain because of all that milk she makes. Just imagine if Norma Jean actually ate all of it instead of wearing it.
Hee hee hee. Norma Jean is looking a lot more adult in the face now. She made me want a glass of milk!
It’s really amazing how quickly they grow up. 🙂 Soon she’ll be leaving the farm.
Wonderful photography of handsome animals ~ well done ~~ thanks, namaste, (A Creative Harbor) on Blogger
Thanks. They really are wonderful creatures.
Messy, but so adorable!
She is pretty cute!
I’ve seen a lot of calves nurse but you’re right – I don’t think I’ve ever seen one be so messy!
I think she really could win gold for messy eater!
too cute!! ha. ha!! (:
She certainly put a smile on my face when I saw it.
Teresa…. Oh your cows are beautiful.. I can’t imagine having cows.. I have 3 kids and 4 fur babies… although I would absolutely love a pot belly pig one day- don’t ask me why but I do.. lol! Following!
Thank you so much for joining us in Thursdays Favorite Things Blog Hop! With His grace, wishing you peace and many blessings to you and yours… Carla
Thank you so much. Pigs are one of the few critters I don’t have running around. I do think I’d prefer a pot-bellied pig to any other kind.
Yikes! She really does get into it, doesn’t she? Can it be cute and gross at the same time? LOL
It really is cute and gross!
Lol, how sweet this black face covered with milk ! She really looks almost as big as her mother, and still thinks she is a baby, just like some human baby do !
She’ll get weaned in another month. Until then, I’m sure she’ll be the baby. 🙂
She is a messy eater, cute shots. I love the last shot. Adorable.
Thanks. She is a pretty cute girl.
That is a messy eater, great shots. Cheers
She was really into getting every last drop!
These photos are great and adorable! Thanks for the smiles this morning.
My pleasure. Glad you enjoyed your visit!
What a cute face!
I just love the fuzzy ears on the cattle. They just look like you should go hug them!
LOL! Too funny! Norma Jean is messy. A bath is definitely in order! What a good mom she has. Happy Critter Day!
Maxine is really an excellent cow. She always raises beautiful calves.
Oy. A goat would never appear in public like that! 🙂 By the way, the soap arrived! Thank you! It is beautiful!
I hope you enjoy the soap and it helps. 🙂 Thank you.
Hahaha she look so cute!
Pomeranian, your comment is always highly appreciated! Have a great weekend.
Cute, but sloppy!
Messy, messy- she does look all grown up!
I can’t believe how big she’s getting already.
