16 Jun

I have a lot of lilies blooming right now.  They aren’t my favorite flower, but they do look pretty when you get a bunch of them all together.

This one is my mom’s lily.

It’s called blackbird lily.

Lilies make beautiful bouquets. Some of these have really interesting colors and markings. Lovely collage!

Thanks. I think I like my mom’s more than any other I’ve seen.

Yes, of all the lilies I like it the best. I think I might have to try and find one of those for my yard.

They aren’t a favorite, but I can still appreciate them.

You have quite a variety of lilies. Each one is beautiful. I love the shots with the shadows inside. Very Nice! Your Mom’s Blackbird Lilly is very unique, I have never seen one like it.
    Happy Sunday!

    • Teresa June 16, 2012 at 10:48 pm #

I liked the way the shadows turned out too. 🙂

Teresa, how glorious your lilies are. I have some and one in particular, a pale lemon yellow, has the most amazing fragrance that every time I walk by, I have to stop and stick my nose in 🙂

    • Teresa June 17, 2012 at 9:12 am #

I haven’t taken the time to stop and smell the lilies. I’ll have to do that on my next trip by. Hope you are doing well.

We have many lilies blooming right now, but for some reason, I haven’t taken any photos of them this year. Loving the blackbird lily. Very unusual!

Thank you for sharing at Your Sunday Best this week! xoxo

    • Teresa June 17, 2012 at 9:13 am #

Thanks. As always I enjoy Your Sunday Best.

Gorgeous…love the blackbird!! I like to look at them…but hate to smell them..their fragrance reminds me of a funeral home!

    • Teresa June 17, 2012 at 9:14 am #

I haven’t gotten a whiff of their scent. I’m sure the allergies help in that regard.

They are beautiful and diverse, how wonderful to have all these growing on your property. It always seems that the goats or sheep escape and eat mine!

    • Teresa June 17, 2012 at 2:11 pm #

I actually do pretty good at keeping the goats out of the yard. I have enough shrubby mulberry bushes in the front fencerow that they only go for it on the rare occasion they do get in. 🙂

Love the mosacis, they showcase the lillies beautifully! I really like the orange one and, of course, your mom’s Blackbird, WOW!! 🙂

Thanks. Like I said, I’m not a big lily fan, but I do love that blackbird too!

  14. Alica June 17, 2012 at 6:45 pm #

  15. Roan June 17, 2012 at 7:09 pm #

They are all beautiful, but that Blackbird is amazing.

    • Teresa June 17, 2012 at 7:41 pm #

Isn’t that the most beautiful lily ever!

  16. Carletta June 17, 2012 at 8:27 pm #

Teresa, I can’t see how they wouldn’t be one of your favorites. These are beautiful!
    Lovely captures!

I love lilies for Easter, but otherwise, I can find others I prefer. Luckily nature gives us enough variety to find something for everyone to love.
