We did get a bit of snow overnight.
Coral is kind of short, but we did have several inches (about six).
I was glad I had the Ranger ready to go. It made the driveway clearing much easier, and a lot more fun. I don’t know how I ever shoveled by hand all these years.
The geese just amaze me. They handle storms like nothing is going on.
The wild birds, on the other hand, were all sitting there waiting for me to fill the feeders. I did do that before I left for work.
I love the clean sparkling look of the land after a snowstorm.
There’s nothing like taking a deep breath of crisp winter air!
Linking to Farm Fun Friday and Nurture Photography where this week’s theme is blue/breathe. No beautiful blue skies this week, so I had to go with the breathe.
I do like the blue shadows you get with snow though.
I’m also linking to Camera Critters.

We’re still too dry to share any moisture. We’re supposed to get some more Sun/Mon. I hope you get some!
Feb 22, 2013 @ 17:56:21
glad you all did well – and your preparation paid off.
Feb 22, 2013 @ 17:58:55
Yep! I didn’t lose a single food pan beneath a snowdrift!
Feb 22, 2013 @ 18:15:13
Looks like you fared pretty well, over all! I’ll bet it’s nice to have that Ranger…shoveling by hand is hard work!
Feb 22, 2013 @ 18:17:53
After our winters two and three years ago, I thought I was going to die from all the shoveling. I’m getting way too old for that! I do appreciate the Ranger!
Feb 22, 2013 @ 21:33:02
They were predicting 3-6 inches for us overnight. After all we’ve had so far this year, I’m glad we only got a bit over 3. Love the pic of the wildbirds and fence.

Thanks! I’m just grateful the winds died down so it wasn’t blowing across the road.

Love the cute critters and birds. Glad you were well prepared for the snow. Have a happy weekend!

Snow does lay a clean, white blanket over the landscape. Helps to cure those winter blahs.
Feb 23, 2013 @ 14:21:42
It really does! Especially when you have the sun shining on that new snow.
Feb 23, 2013 @ 14:50:01
love your goat photo! more snow starting to fall here today too.
Feb 23, 2013 @ 15:37:56
Thanks. Coral is adorable and sweet!
Feb 23, 2013 @ 14:51:08
There is something clean and refreshing about snow, but then I don’t live where we get any! Perhaps that’s the reason why I like it! Coral looks like she might kick up her heels and play at any moment! Geese are something else.
Feb 23, 2013 @ 15:38:23
The goats were a bit would up after being stuck inside for the day.
Feb 23, 2013 @ 20:50:09
Seems like they were not bothered by the cold. Love the 2nd photo with the goat. Cute!
Feb 23, 2013 @ 20:58:27
Luckily this wasn’t a really cold storm.
They just don’t like to get wet.
Feb 24, 2013 @ 06:24:53
It is pretty after a snow, especially before it gets all “tracked up!” That Ranger has certainly been a good investment! I hope you are enjoying your weekend!
Feb 24, 2013 @ 07:33:13
The Ranger is wonderful! It has been a great weekend. Hope you are enjoying yours as well.
Feb 25, 2013 @ 03:52:23
It’s beautiful after new snow has fallen. I’m getting tired of all the snow and I wish spring would hurry up and get here already!
Feb 25, 2013 @ 06:31:42
We’ve had the weirdest snow and melt cycle going on. Crazy. Hope you get your spring quite soon.
Feb 25, 2013 @ 08:44:51
