This week for Nurture Photography, the choices of topic are white or minimalist. I’ve kind of combined them with my geese.

They might be naughty, but they are beautiful!

The third one down with the little blue in a sea of white feathers is fabulous!

Gorgeous pictures!
Feb 08, 2013 @ 19:12:49
Thank you, Anne. The geese are very cooperative as long as they don’t have babies.
Feb 08, 2013 @ 21:08:09
Love the first shot…he looks shy.
Feb 08, 2013 @ 21:14:17
Shy isn’t exactly what I would call any of the Embden geese. They are pretty bold.
Feb 08, 2013 @ 22:34:39
I especially like photo number 3!
Feb 09, 2013 @ 08:41:29
Thanks. That was my favorite as well.

A wonderful series of photos!
Feb 09, 2013 @ 11:43:19
Thanks, Martha!
Feb 09, 2013 @ 09:11:58
Awwwwwwww, wonderful, fun, and loving portraits today. Love the ones where they’re tucking their beaks in the feathers with barely an eye showing.
Feb 09, 2013 @ 11:43:54
That’s their normal position when it’s cold and windy. They can survive blizzards like that (even though they do have a barn they can go in).
Feb 09, 2013 @ 09:14:02
Beautiful!
Have a wonderful day!

They are beautiful birds. Thanks for stopping by.
Feb 09, 2013 @ 09:54:39
Wow your geese are nicer then ours. We have those Canadian things… Great shots!!
Feb 09, 2013 @ 11:45:34
Well, in another month I’ll be posting pictures of the ganders chasing me and the geese hissing at me as I try to gather their eggs. They are not nice in the breeding season.
Feb 09, 2013 @ 12:37:39
I absolutely love these wonderful photos! Stunning! Happy weekend!

It’s amazing how tightly the curl when sleeping ~ your pictures are very beautiful!
Feb 10, 2013 @ 08:40:54
They do just tuck that wing under and they are a little mound. They stay out in the worst weather like that (even though they do have a barn to get in).
Feb 10, 2013 @ 07:41:17

I wondered if that’s a way to stay warm. are these on your farm?
Feb 10, 2013 @ 20:06:21
Yes. They are mine. They tuck their beaks under their wings, and they stay warm and dry! They are amazing creatures!
Feb 14, 2013 @ 12:45:19
Sweet!!!
Feb 14, 2013 @ 12:56:40
Thanks. They look sweet when they are all tucked in sleeping, but they can get mighty feisty!
