When I saw the list for this week’s scavenger hunt, I really thought there would be no way I could ever find them all. Turns out, they were really easy!
Lace: I am not exactly a lace and frills kind of girl. Not at all! I do however have lace valences over my practical blinds. It was wonderful to have the sun shining in this morning.
Bling: I’m into bling about as much as I am lace, but then I figured it didn’t have to be mine. Coffee is the only goat on the farm that has bling. She came with that fancy ear tag. I did add the collar. That’s bling too isn’t it? It was necessary when we were first training to milk and I was chasing her through the barnyard to catch her. Luckily, we’ve moved past that stage.
I’m looking forward to milking her again this summer.
Wood: This one was easy! There’s wood all over my farm. I decided to shoot my wooden fence between the yard and barnyard. Then I noticed the shadow that made a perfect F.
I got excited because I want to find all the letters of the alphabet on my farm. Then I can frame the different pictures to make words.
Two letters down. Twenty-four to go!
Fuzzy: This one I knew would be easy other than which fuzzy critter to use. I chose Bob.
It wasn’t until I had this on the computer I noticed he had something on his face. Grrr…
Fabric: With the cold weather we had last week, you certainly wanted plenty of layers to stay warm. I didn’t leave the house without my gloves and coat.
I even made sure my coat was always zipped and the hood up.
We’re supposed to be warmer this week though, and there’s even a bit of rain in the forecast.

As soon as I saw the “F”, I thought of those alphabet pictures…this is a great one! I keep thinking I need to go looking, but haven’t even started yet.
I love the picture of Bob…never even would have noticed that he had something on his face. He looks like he might even be purring!
Jan 26, 2013 @ 14:23:52
I think it’s a piece of a leaf stem that blew in when he or Snickers came in the window. We’ve got some static going here.
I really think I can get all the letters this year!
Jan 26, 2013 @ 14:16:47
Awesome pictures!
Jan 26, 2013 @ 14:24:36
Thanks! There’s nothing like a good scavenger hunt to help get rid of the winter blogging (writer’s) blocks.
Jan 26, 2013 @ 14:19:27
Oh cat naps, beautiful!
Shadow Shots
Have a great weekend!
Jan 26, 2013 @ 14:24:52
Thanks. Bob is an expert napper.
Jan 26, 2013 @ 15:36:48
nicely done. i thought about collecting ‘letters’ for a while but burned out w/ some of the harder ones. good luck, though!
Jan 26, 2013 @ 15:53:58
Thanks. I figure it will be fun, and I’m not planning on rushing it. Just when I find them.
Jan 26, 2013 @ 15:46:27
Love Bob and the bokeh in the background, the letter ‘f’ how clever of you, and the light streaming through the lace, is lovely and vintage looking. Thank you for sharing on Weekly Top Shot #67!
Jan 26, 2013 @ 15:54:19
Thanks. I do appreciate you hosting!
Jan 26, 2013 @ 15:48:03
the love name you give your animals. Bob & Coffee. cute!! ( :
Jan 26, 2013 @ 15:54:55
Coffee was named when she came to the farm. I tried naming the cat Spooky, but he didn’t like it and chose Bob instead.
Jan 26, 2013 @ 16:38:17
What a great find is that “F”, courtesy of post and shadow! Very clever! Coffee looks totally disinterested in photos, but still look so cute! and dear Bob! He is his own little world!
Jan 26, 2013 @ 17:08:29
Coffee was only interested in treats.
Bob is always in his own world, and he is directly in the center.
Jan 26, 2013 @ 18:03:37
Love the lace and Bob and your alphabet pictures! I hope you get a bit of a thaw so that the rain can soak in!
Jan 26, 2013 @ 18:21:34
Thanks. We’re not supposed to get very much rain. They’ve cut back the predictions from 1/2 to 1/10 of an inch for our area.
Jan 26, 2013 @ 18:27:43
I love that Coffee with ear bling – it fits her style nicely, and she is a real beauty! The wood of the fence is wonderfully weathered – the grain so honest…what can we say about Bob who is quite cute while doing the job that cats do best(ours included
. Glad you layered up, Iowa does seem to be the land of weather extremes…
Jan 26, 2013 @ 19:24:39
We’re taking the weather extremes to the extreme this winter! Coffee always reminds me of a gypsy with her earring.
Jan 26, 2013 @ 19:22:16
Fantastic photography ~ love the goat one ~

Great photos. I love Coffee’s bling… I have seen those alphabet object photos and I think it is a neat idea. The sleeping cat is a precious shot.
Enjoyed stopping by…
Jan 27, 2013 @ 08:06:36
Glad you enjoyed your visit. I think it will be fun to search out the whole alphabet.
Jan 27, 2013 @ 02:23:48
Lace! Imagine if you were at MY house! lol
Lovely pics…as always!
Jan 27, 2013 @ 08:06:52
Kind of ironic, huh. I did find some though!
Jan 27, 2013 @ 03:50:05
I think Coffee is rocking the bling and Bob is just a cutie!
Jan 27, 2013 @ 08:07:12
Thanks. They are both cute.
Jan 27, 2013 @ 05:01:05
Love your rural interpretations Teresa — jealous of those windows. Gorgeous!
Jan 27, 2013 @ 08:07:54
I do love the design in the glass. I’m guessing it’s from when the house was built in 1900 though, and it would be nice to have windows that were a bit warmer.
Jan 27, 2013 @ 05:08:25
Wonderful photos!
Jan 27, 2013 @ 08:08:07
Thanks so much.
Jan 27, 2013 @ 06:16:20
I like the Bling most of all….Coffee is such a doll-face!!!
Jan 27, 2013 @ 08:08:58
She’s a nice girl, and I’m glad she came to live with us.
Jan 27, 2013 @ 08:30:37
I love your wood shots. Getting the whole alphabet and having the letters available for various projects sounds like fun to me.
Jan 27, 2013 @ 08:35:11
I think it will be fun to do the farm name in those letters.
Jan 27, 2013 @ 09:10:30
Wonderful choices for the Scavenger Hunt!
I’m going to start looking for the alphabet around here, too. Great fun idea!
Have a blessed Sunday!

Thanks. I keep thinking I should go for a walk in the pasture while the trees are bare. I might find some good letters in the branches.
Jan 27, 2013 @ 09:27:39
I’m glad to hear there’s another blogger who doesn’t “do” lace and bling very much. I thought I might be sailing that boat alone. Love Bob, smudge face and all, and all of your wood shots are gorgeous. Here in Maine it’s been cold too. I’ve been making a fashion statement with hat hair all week. Happy day to you.
Jan 27, 2013 @ 11:06:42
Hat hair is a necessity this time of year! Thanks so much for stopping by.
Jan 27, 2013 @ 09:33:22
lovely sequence of shots – especially like that first one with the lacy patterns…
Jan 27, 2013 @ 11:07:02
Thanks. The sun really did look quite nice shining through the window.
Jan 27, 2013 @ 11:11:41
LOVE all of these. Goats are gorgeous animals and looking for letters on the farm will have you searching for weeks! Good luck, lovely to visit your blog for the first time
Jan 27, 2013 @ 14:19:29
So glad you stopped by. I do love my goats. They are so delightful! I’m sure it will take months to find all the letters.
Jan 27, 2013 @ 11:43:45
Love the lace & wood
Jan 27, 2013 @ 14:20:55
Thank you. I thought this one was a really fun scavenger hunt.
Jan 27, 2013 @ 13:32:45
You have inspired me to look for letters in photo subjects. It will be a separate scavenger hunt all to itself. Well done.
Jan 27, 2013 @ 14:21:19
I’m looking forward to some good weather so I can get out and hunt for more letters. Thank you so much for stopping by.
Jan 27, 2013 @ 14:43:05
Great set!

Jan 28, 2013 @ 09:56:39
Everything is wonderful – I love the different interpretations of the clues.
Jan 28, 2013 @ 10:13:43
Thanks. I have to be creative to get all the prompts on my farm sometimes.
Jan 28, 2013 @ 12:02:55
Really awesome job on the Scavenger Hunt! Love the bling especially!
Jan 28, 2013 @ 12:19:50
Thanks. I had a fun time figuring out something for bling because most of my animals don’t even have tags.
Feb 01, 2013 @ 03:02:05
I love the fuzzy part the most, but they’re all great.
Feb 01, 2013 @ 07:13:36
Thanks. Bob is quite the fellow!
