When I got up this morning it was quite bright and sunny. That means the frost from overnight didn’t stick around long.
It did however look interesting where the frost was still on the deck in the shadows.
Stella and Bob were already up and wanting breakfast and attention. I don’t know why Stella always moves her bowl all over the deck. Really, I find it rather annoying.
It was also the perfect morning to go enjoy the critters in the barnyard because it was a bit warmer than it has been lately.
Kizzy appreciated the treat of candy cane.
Bambi did too.
Honestly these three are snack-o-holics. They positively attack if they think they are getting food.
Can you tell Bambi and Coffee are both expecting babies for the end of March?

I’m guessing Bambi has triplets!
Jan 05, 2013 @ 17:44:22
I’m guessing twins, but I’m not always very good at guessing.
Sometimes they are just fat.
Jan 05, 2013 @ 17:42:54
The three of them look so intent on getting to you and their treats in that last photo.

When I brought out the Ritz crackers later, I was positively attacked. It was a lot of fun.

Jan 05, 2013 @ 18:40:21
Thanks. It was almost warm working out there today.

Such a beautiful collection of photos! Adore the last one with all 3 characters together! And love the light and shadow and frost mix! Fascinating!

It’s always interesting to see the frost in shadows. Characters is certainly a good word to describe those girls!

I just love your goats!!
Jan 05, 2013 @ 19:57:28

We really did enjoy the sun this morning! Thanks for stopping by.
Jan 05, 2013 @ 20:12:09
I bet you are glad to be thawing out a bit. And March isn’t really very far off.

You know, I’m still hoping for a lot more winter. We’re still dealing with some respiratory junk. I just want a long freeze to reduce some of the bacteria levels. It will be good to get rid of the ice by the cattle tank and adjust the float, but then lets get cold again!

I love the faded sun-bleached color of your deck slats on the second shot. Few things rejuvenate the soul like waking up to a bright sun on a winter morning. Liked peeking in on your rather idyllic-looking life on your goat farm.
Cheers,
Leah

Ahhhhhhh, what is that? Sunshine? We haven’t had that since the 29th of December…LAST year. LOL Hoping today we’ll have some. LOVE the photo of your Bambi and Kizzy getting candy cane treats.
Jan 06, 2013 @ 07:48:10
It’s been a while since we were sunny. Of course, by afternoon, the clouds had moved back in.
Jan 06, 2013 @ 07:17:43
Cool picture of the frost in the shadows of the deck rail slats!
I was giving the goats peanuts, per Marigold’s recommendation, but quit because I feared for my safety every time I went down to the pasture, peanuts in hand or not! LOL!!
Jan 06, 2013 @ 07:48:40
Candy canes and Ritz crackers get the same result!
Jan 06, 2013 @ 09:17:52
At least you have sunny weather ! I am back from South France and here in Brussels it rains as usual ! The goats are so cute as always !
Jan 06, 2013 @ 11:43:15
We’ve been pretty cloudy, so the sun is a nice break! Hope you get some sunshine too.
Jan 06, 2013 @ 19:27:35
looks like a beautiful day. We haven’t had much sun….and I am missing it.
Jan 06, 2013 @ 19:33:55
I can handle the cold as long as we get sunshine!
