Yesterday in the Pasture

Our weather yesterday when I got home from work and finished chores was close to eighty degrees, balmy and still.  They skies were a steely gray.  It was like walking in a sauna, but I hadn’t walked in the pasture for a while, so I got my camera and took off for a quick walk.

I might not be going for many walks soon.  Today we’re at about forty degrees and windy.  It’s kind of a shock to the system after yesterday’s weather.

That is some difference, Teresa. 80 to 40? Those birds in the first photos are a little scary to me. xo

We’re supposed to be down to freezing tonight. It looks like we’re going to stay forties to fifties for high temps for the next week.

Thanks. It’s really hard on the animals with the wild temperature swings. At least I can put on and take off my winter coat. :-) Hope you have a great weekend too.

The weather this year has been so strange…as you well know! It’s hard to believe it will soon be cold. Not sure I’m ready for that. But…first we have to get through Hurricane Sandy. At this point it looks like we might be dead center, early next week. Luckily we’re off the coast, but we’re saturated with rain already, and those winds make me nervous!

Most of our Canada Geese have flown south, but we still are getting formations of Snow Geese heading for the fields in Oregon and Washington. – Margy
