Our weather yesterday when I got home from work and finished chores was close to eighty degrees, balmy and still. They skies were a steely gray. It was like walking in a sauna, but I hadn’t walked in the pasture for a while, so I got my camera and took off for a quick walk.
I might not be going for many walks soon. Today we’re at about forty degrees and windy. It’s kind of a shock to the system after yesterday’s weather.

That is some difference, Teresa. 80 to 40? Those birds in the first photos are a little scary to me. xo
Oct 25, 2012 @ 18:10:46
Just Canada geese. They flew directly over me, ironically on their way north. Guess the warm temps had them confused.
Oct 25, 2012 @ 18:11:20
Yes, ours changed abruptly, too! I liked taking the walk with you. You saw some lovely sights.
Oct 25, 2012 @ 18:42:15
It is beautiful back there. I don’t think I’d want to try that walk today though.
Oct 25, 2012 @ 18:18:14
great shots… my favs are the 1st & last. oh, yes the temps have been so wild. we had 80′s yesterday. 70′s today … & at night it dips into the 40s … suppose to snow next week. it is wild how it keeps changing so. wild weather for sure. (:
Oct 25, 2012 @ 18:42:56
We’re supposed to be down to freezing tonight. It looks like we’re going to stay forties to fifties for high temps for the next week.
Oct 25, 2012 @ 18:20:27
love the 3 geese. LOVE the spent thistle heads. love the flock in the pasture.
our temps dropped 20 degrees w/ a northern wind that blew in this aft.
Oct 25, 2012 @ 18:43:23
It certainly gets the attention when there are such drastic changes!
Oct 25, 2012 @ 18:31:56
Wonderful captures, Teresa! That is quite a change in temps!! Does make it harder to adjust!! I, too, love the geese and the flock in the pasture!! Happy SWF! Hope you have a great weekend!
Oct 25, 2012 @ 18:44:05
Thanks. It’s really hard on the animals with the wild temperature swings. At least I can put on and take off my winter coat.
Hope you have a great weekend too.
Oct 25, 2012 @ 18:44:40

Thanks. I love sharing my goats with people. I’ll throw an extra cat in bed with me, and that should keep me warm.
Oct 25, 2012 @ 19:07:40
A wonderful walk!! I love the second capture of the geese, just the old feel of the photo! And the slope of the hills and the trees in the landscape at the bottom!!

Amazing shot!

The weather this year has been so strange…as you well know! It’s hard to believe it will soon be cold. Not sure I’m ready for that. But…first we have to get through Hurricane Sandy. At this point it looks like we might be dead center, early next week. Luckily we’re off the coast, but we’re saturated with rain already, and those winds make me nervous!
Oct 26, 2012 @ 07:04:43
I was watching the news last night with their two scenarios. I could only think which bloggy friends would be hit. Hope you stay safe.
Oct 26, 2012 @ 07:07:03
Stellar photographs! (as always!)

Beautiful shots, Teresa! I love seeing those happy goats in their pasture.
Oct 26, 2012 @ 11:49:01
It won’t be long before they don’t want to go out there, and I’ll be feeding them hay.
Oct 26, 2012 @ 10:32:10
Really cool photos! We’re in the same boat as you. 80 degrees yesterday, 45 and windy and rainy this morning!
Oct 26, 2012 @ 11:50:01
Of course, I’m just thankful for the rain and looking forward to winter.

Oct 27, 2012 @ 15:58:41
Beautiful images! Yes, winter seems to be on its way albeit in fits and starts.
Oct 27, 2012 @ 15:59:23
It’s certainly what we need. A nice cold winter spell.
Oct 27, 2012 @ 22:33:02
Most of our Canada Geese have flown south, but we still are getting formations of Snow Geese heading for the fields in Oregon and Washington. – Margy
Oct 27, 2012 @ 23:01:25
It’s still a bit early for them to be going south here, but I see them flying occasionally throughout the summer.
Oct 28, 2012 @ 00:54:25
Your shots are fabulous!
