Iowa in Fall

Something I really love is Iowa in fall.  When I was on my way home from work today, I got a call from my son wanting me to stop by the shop.  I’m so glad he did.

I hate to cheat by just having the bird flying in front of a barn, so here’s a better view of the barn.

I love eagles. I love the old barns.  I love beautiful leaves.  Sorry, but I love seeing evil chicken-killing raccoons served up as lunch for said eagles that I love.  I love my son for calling me and telling about this beautiful scene.  I’m full of love today!

Awesome eagle shots!! The barn ain’t to shabby, either.

I understand a family of osprey has taken residence at a local lake, but I have been unsuccessful at spotting any of them. You’ve inspired me :-)

Thats a great set of pictures – nice to have a extra pair of eyes looking for photo ops! Road kill is often a great location for predators – my last “find” like this was a large ( 4ft?) lizard eating a road kill wallaby.

Wow, I’m looking at those photos thinking – is that really an eagle sitting by the side of the road? I have never been that lucky. The only shots I have of eagles, look like little spots in the sky. Very nice!

Gorgeous! I’ve heard eagles have a nest in a park nearby, but I haven’t seen them yet. Where do you live in Iowa? :)
