More Soaping

I’ve still been making soaps.  I have two new ones.  The first was the chocolate and almond that I mentioned wanting to try.  Just because, I added a bit of coconut scent to it also.  I used the molds my dad made for me.

It really looks good, but I have to say the smell is just wonderful!  I want to taste it every time I walk past.

I was happy to see I did get some decent swirls in it.

I wasn’t sure what I wanted to call this one, so I asked for suggestions on Facebook.

The name I chose to go with, suggested by Michelle from Bleeding Espresso, was choconut almond delight.  I love it!

I can hardly wait for it to finish curing so I can try it out and add it to my on-line market.  I also tried a new soap at my son’s request.  He wants something that will clean his mechanic’s hands.

I made a cornmeal soap; that should be plenty abrasive.  It has lemongrass essential oils in it also.  Suppose that will clean his greasy hands?  I had a little left after filling the molds, so I used one little mold.

When I turned the mold over to see how it looked, the soap fell out.

It’s not supposed to do that yet.  Luckily, I got it put back, and I’m not going to touch it again until it’s really time for it to come out of the mold.  I hope it comes out that easily when it’s time.  I’ll let you know how it actually cleans.  Maybe it will even clean my dried hands with dirt stuck in every crack from working outside.  Any suggestions on what to name this one?

I’m hoping I’ll have a chance to take my soaps to a nearby farmers market yet this year.

It just came out of the molds, so it has to cure. As soon as it is ready, I’ll add it to the market. If you want, I can send you an e-mail when I add it. :-)

Oooo. Looks yummy! I wouldn’t want to get it near Boo. It might disappear and that would not be a good thing. I don’t know…maybe ‘Clean n’ Clear’ for the other one? Not very imaginative though.

I have the feeling a lot of goats might think it smells good enough to taste. :-) Don’t know if they would actually eat it or just give it a good sniff and lick.
