Rays of Light

Since we’ve actually had something besides bright blue clear skies, it’s made for some interesting pictures.

I love the idea that we’ve reached the silver lining and this drought is finally retreating.  Dare I hope…

The evening news shot down my optimism. With the new drought report out we went from 30% to 60% of the state in extreme drought, and the remainder is in severe drought. I guess I can still hope. :-)

Those sunbeams are called crepuscular rays. Isn’t that a wonderful word?
I enlarged your photo, to get a better look at those fantastic clouds, and the fence is so cool!! I love it!!

I keep thinking I need to do the watermark on all of them, but it’s so much work. I know. I know… We had beautiful clouds with an approaching storm then next day, but I was busy trying to get ready for the storm and didn’t get to take many pictures. Guess I have to have my priorities. :-)

You truly live in a gorgeous place. Love your sunset photos. This one is so dramatic with the darkness in the foreground. And yes, a break in the heat is so welcome. We’re having the first cool weekend in months in KY–80s.
