In My Ditch

6 Jul

This time of year the ditches around here are looking quite pretty with all the wildflowers (or weeds if you prefer).  All those flowers are quite popular with all the bugs.

I took just a short walk the other day and found many pretty blooms.

Linking to Crazy Daze of Summer, Farm Photo FridayFriday Photo, and lots of little bugs for Camera Critters.

Looks like your pretty green there Teresa , here were dry and brown mostly .
Garden is having to water it every other day or two to keep it growing . Our temps in missouri have been 102 and so on with high heat indexes 😦 Praying we get some rain soon . Is sweet to see such lovely flowers Teresa 🙂

It’s horribly dry here too, with the same kind of heat. It still looks green, but it is just crunchy. Hope you get some rain soon.

    Beautiful!

But *In My Ditch* is not the title I want to stumble upon while you’re on the road! lol

I read once about *flower bombs*……
You wrap some wild flower seeds and a rock in a wet paper towel and toss them out randomly into ditches as you are driving.

    🙂

That is a fun idea. In Iowa many of the ditches have been seeded with wild flowers already. 🙂 Luckily it was just the flowers and not me in the ditch.

So much beauty in a ditch! I haven’t seen the lilies growing wild for some time, but up here we have many lupins and foxgloves in the ditches.

The lilies are in most ditches around here. It does look so cheerful!

For some reason those ditch flowers will grow in even the toughest of conditions- nice collection of pretties!

Usually, there is water in a lot of the ditches around here, and those cattails are pretty sad looking. They do still look nice.

I love wildflowers! That first cat-o-nine tails photos reminded me of an old moldy corn dog for some reason! Anyway, these are all gorgeous. Thanks for sharing.

I do hope the Beaver doesn’t get mired in the wildflowers. 🙂

Beavie will be fine! I would never live it down if anything happened to him. 🙂

Thanks. I wish it weren’t covered in quite so much dust, but it is still pretty.
