Lilies

I have a lot of lilies blooming right now.  They aren’t my favorite flower, but they do look pretty when you get a bunch of them all together.

This one is my mom’s lily.

It’s called blackbird lily.

Teresa, how glorious your lilies are. I have some and one in particular, a pale lemon yellow, has the most amazing fragrance that every time I walk by, I have to stop and stick my nose in :)

We have many lilies blooming right now, but for some reason, I haven’t taken any photos of them this year. Loving the blackbird lily. Very unusual!

They are beautiful and diverse, how wonderful to have all these growing on your property. It always seems that the goats or sheep escape and eat mine!

I actually do pretty good at keeping the goats out of the yard. I have enough shrubby mulberry bushes in the front fencerow that they only go for it on the rare occasion they do get in. :-)

I love lilies for Easter, but otherwise, I can find others I prefer. Luckily nature gives us enough variety to find something for everyone to love.
