Since I let Maxine and Norma Jean out of the barn, I can’t check on them by looking out the window. Yesterday evening I took the Ranger out to my mustard and ketchup gates to enter the Back Forty.
I immediately saw Maxine and MJ. Where’s Norma Jean?
I really can’t tell you how well those cows can hide their calves, and the calves are well-behaved. They won’t move from their spot until you are almost stepping on them. Can you see her?
I found her because Maxine got a little nervous when I walked out there. I can’t blame her. The last time I went out there we took her and Norma Jean up to the barn and shut them in.
Can you see her now?
She does a pretty darn good job of hiding!
She’s looking good and doing a good job of keeping Maxine nursed.
I don’t think I need to worry about her anymore. Maxine is certainly much happier being out in the pasture.
MJ is happier too.
I really wish they would let me use fly spray on them.
