A Melancholy Kind of Day

Today has been one of those days that feels gloomy and just seems to keep growing more so as the day goes on.  We’ve had dark and dreary weather.  Everything at work seems to be way more difficult than it really ought to be.  Friends are having difficult times.  I still have a stupid snow plow sitting in my driveway.  Luckily on days like this, I swear the animals know I’m in a bad mood and they try to help me out.  Here’s some of what I love.

I hope they give you a smile like they do me.

What lovely phographs each day, Teresa! I love the fluffy hen. Today I kind of grumbled when it was time for late afternoon feeding. It’s dark, it’s dreary and it was half rain/snow. Once I’m down at the barn everyone is saying “ma”, or “meh”(in Isobelle’s case) or rumbling wickers from the horses. Then the rascally mini boys decide to have a grand chase and romp from end to end of the pasture. Who could not enjoy that! Animals are the best thing to perk up a dreary day!

Bud, the wether, is just such a clown when he’s bouncing around like a little kid. They really do have a way of making everything okay. :-) Sunshine would help too.

What a lovely bunch of animals…I agree, there’s just something about a soft, sweet face that lifts my spirits too. We have a kitty like that…when I’m feeling down, I just bury my face in her fur and listen to her purr! Hope your tomorrow is better!

You are right, the animals know when we are in a bad mood and they know how to return the smile on our faces.
    Lovely photos.

    Regards and best wishes
